Captain Haddock is one of the characters created by Herge, the man who was behind “The Adventures of Tintin,” a series of Belgian comics. In the series Captain Haddock is Tintin’s best friend a multimillionaire captain of the sea.

The Adventures of Tintin is one of the most well known series in comic book history. One of the main reasons it is so loved, is because of crazy Captain Haddock who is prone to a short temper and sometimes outrageous expletive outbursts.

Throughout the series, Herge does a great job of developing the character of Captain Haddock. In the beginning of the series he starts out as a drunk, and slowly, as the comic book series progresses, he becomes a more respectable and heroic individual. However, he continues to drink rum and whiskey throughout the series.

Another reason that Captain Haddock is so loved is because of all of his hilarious facial expressions. Compared to other comic book characters throughout history, Herge did a brilliant job of giving him so many different expressions.

There is no doubt that Captain Haddock played a major role in what made this comic book series one of the most memorable of all time. This is why Captain Haddock is the greatest comic book character of all time.
